Day 42

Visiting places and attractions is definitely the way to go. Went visit quite a number of attractions in Melaka.

Started off by looking for a restaurant to have breakfast while heading towards Tourism Melaka Centre. In the end, ended up eating Hainanese Chicken Rice near Jonker’s Street. Pretty unique rice balls. Get to try interesting food once in awhile during my travel despite my financial situation haha.

After feeding my stomach, went tourism centre and got a rough idea on my route plan for the day. Headed over to shops nearby Portugese Settlement to stock up on cheap biscuits. Preparing myself for hard times haha.

Finally, headed to the first tourist attraction of the day – St. John Fort. Memories again haha. View was great from the fort.

Next, walked to some stadium/park/field. Some Majlis Bandaran facilities for public. Well, the trip there has some nice things to it especially along the way. The final destination wasn’t much though. Don’t really know how to put it into words so forget it.

Finally, went to the best place of the day – Bukit China. Finally, arrived at the place after passing by so many unique buildings and cemeteries. Arrived at the main staircase located at a Chinese school. The hill takes up a lot of land that I actually walked beside it for quite some time before reaching the proper staircase to go up.

Had lunch at the canteen and it was a nice experience. Met nice people again. Walked up the staircase and saw these mini models of Melaka buildings such as Stadhuys along the hill. Very nice and interesting. In the end, the hill was very peaceful and serene. Nice view too. Really enjoyed it.

After that, went back to Jonker’s Street and visited a few temples, museums, mausoleums, etc. Also visited Hang Li Poh Well and some monument near Bukit China.

After that, just hanged around till later evening and went back to Chetti home. There were some guests and it was fun having them around. Reminds me of my place again haha.

Tomorrow, I will be on my own again.
