Woke up, wash up, and whatever usual routine there is (although it may not be routine for me now). Couldn’t leave early as planned because my clothes just won’t dry.
The family has been really nice. A peaceful family.
Started walking and after walking quite a distance, got a free ride passed Tanjung Agam and Sungai Linggi to Kuala Linggi. Reached Melaka border just like that. Didn’t get to hang around Sungai Linggi as it was beautiful.
Walked and walked again and reached a place where I can catch a bus to Melaka. Waited for awhile and got on a bus to Masjid Tanah passing by many places such as Kuala Sungai Baru. No more walking around really rural areas.
From Masjid Tanah, took a bus straight to Melaka. Really missed a lot of places in between.
Reached Melaka and was confused on how Melaka is developing. It’s turning into a city similar to places like Kangar, Alor Star, Pulau Pinang, Ipoh, etc. Was finding my way to the ‘old’ side of Melaka as I’m more familiar with that area. Found Melaka river and walked along side it in the end to the clock tower. Melaka town is still nice whether it’s last time or now.
Went to tourism centre and managed to find directions to Portugese Settlement. Travelled there and looked for the “Headman”. Many things just didn’t change in Melaka.
Went in circles and finally ended up with a Malay ‘Datuk’. Getting help from him and currently putting up a night at Computer Centre in the village near Portugese Village. Kampung ATap I believe.
My plan in Portugese Village was ‘shattered’. Plus, things are still quite rough on me. Hoping that it will gradually turn better.
