Left early to Kuala Kangsar by bus. Visited around the town. A really ‘royal’ town as mentioned. Similar to how Arau is in Perlis. Nevertheless, both are unique in its own ways.
At Kuala Kangsar, visited most of the tourist attractions there. Once again, didn’t go inside most of the buildings because of one of these 3 reasons:-
- There was an entry fee
- Not allowed to enter for outsiders
- Too lazy to go in
Generally, a nice town in Perak.
Perak is really too big compared to other states. Definitely will not be able to visit all the attractions in each Perak town; what more visiting each and every town in Perak. Planning to visit famous towns only and reduce the time spent on walking to visit more places. More bus rides too which lead to more money spent.
Left Kuala Kangsar for Ipoh as there isn’t much left to see at KK. Arrived at Ipoh and gosh, what a town. In fact, a city is more appropriate.
Many heritage buildings around. Can easily pass by a few just by randomly walking in town. Not as frequent as Penang though. Environment totally like KL! Especially the traffic with all the jams and hons. Nonetheless, I still do think KL is worse and dirtier.
Visited tourism center for more info and walked around town. Spent hours looking for a temporary job but couldn’t find any. Tried looking for accommodation when it got dark with no results as well. In the end, sleeping at this really big KTM station.
Haven’t been washing my clothes properly for quite some time. Has been wearing the same pants for few days. Wonder how long will this continue.
To maintain a good character and attitude is pretty difficult as people tend to be the ‘real’ them when in pressure and difficult situation. But I guess, this is the time to get a hold of myself and maintain my composure and stay positive.
