Day 6

Today has been a tiresome day. Many things happened.

First of all, it rained almost the whole day from morning till evening. Even if it stops raining, it only lasts for a few minutes.

Wore raincoat, slippers, short pants, and pouch bag to travel around because of the rain and I’m staying another night at the same place. Slippers seemed to be a bad choice as my feet is full with blisters now. I guess that’s the reason sports sandals cost so much.

Walked from morning till evening. Went to Machang from Tanah Merah and looked around before lunch. Walked to Bukit Bakar nearby after lunch to climb the hill. Due to the rain, can only use the tar road way to hike. Reached the top but couldn’t enjoy any view at the peak as the ‘stesen pancaran radio/tv’ or whatever that thing was was locked at the gate. Guess visiting during raining season is a bad idea.

Flashback at my ‘nature conquering’ quest’s record so far:
Gua Musang – Start: 1pm something, Reached: 1445, End: 1530, Duration: 2 hours?
Bukit Bakar – Start: 1550, Reached: 1700, End: 1750, Duration: 2 hours, Distance: 3.2km or more

Wouldn’t say I conquered Bukit Bakar as I was using tar road trail but nevertheless, I reached the top.

Was really frustrated that I couldn’t check out the view from the hill’s peak as I’m sure the scenery is great. Plus the non-stop rain spoiled my mood too.

Thinks that many places name is weird and funny such as Bukit Tiu, Sungai KuSial, etc. Saw many animals in Kampung area and white fur monkeys at Bukit Bakar.

Realized that I can’t visit all places in the same area. Can’t be too greedy I suppose.

‘Tumpang-ed’ cars, lorries, whatever to go back Tanah Merah and it’s difficult. A little cold thanks to the rain.
