Day 4

Today has been a rather dull and boring day, surprisingly. Did not travel at all today. Instead, I stayed at the same place and city. Wanted to leave this place this morning and head to the next destination, but, something else stopped me. Nevertheless, I shall appreciate peaceful time like this as it may never happen again.

This morning, I decided to help the Buddhist community to clean up the temple as they just had an event the day before. After all, I borrowed the place to stay overnight so I thought I should contribute too. Plus, they have been so kind to me. Because of the cleaning session, I was delayed till noon and followed them to each lunch after that. That’s how I got stucked in Gua Musang for another day. Not forgetting, they also treated me to breakfast in the morning.

Staying here with nothing particular to do made me watched the locals’ behaviours and by doing so, I get to realized the minor differences between cultures of different geographical areas. How bizarre it is that humans can be so different. However, there exists many similarities too.

Was allowed to stay at the Buddhist temple again for another night all by MYSELF. It was pretty fun as I get to ‘own’ the place for the rest of the day and use every facilities at my convenience. This kind of thing might not happen anymore so I better enjoy myself and make full use of it. Even if it does happen again, it’s rare.

Plan changed to leaving the next morning and follow one of the locals who is driving there. That’s where the ups and downs of backpacking occur again so I better be prepared. I’m starting to get the idea of how things would be for the remaining days, but, I’m sure it’ll be a new and exciting challenge all over again.

Spent the remaining time after lunch at one of the locals self-owned store. After that is ‘lepak-ing’ till I’m asleep.
