Today has been a great day. The best so far as things have pretty much go very well.
Enjoyed the view when walking to Gua Musang from Kuala Lipis. Same goes to the free rides I’ve been getting. Reached destination a lot earlier than before. Managed to solve all the four issues in just a moment. Special thanks to the Buddhist temple in Kampung Baru Gua Musang. And lucky for me that there was an event going on on the same day.
Walked around Gua Musang to do some exploring. Met foreigners from Australia travelling around and chatted with them a little while. Most importantly, I conquered Gua Musang alone. Moreover, it was drizzling a little.
Had a lot going on at Buddhist temple. Met many Chinese people and mingled around. Kept explaining what I’m doing, where I’m from, how I reached there, why do I do this, etc. Generally, it was fine. At least, I had free food, drink, and most importantly, accommodation.
Met a person who’re willing to take me in and stay at his place before I found the Buddhist temple. Seems like a very decent offer; however, I rejected it as my danger instinct tells me to do so. After all, it is safer to reject offers that create even a little uneasiness. That way, I will be safe for sure.
Back to the Buddhist temple, made a lot of new ‘friends’. Story of me backpacking seems like something to be respected now as that’s the feedback I received. Not forgetting, people are getting too kind nowadays giving away money to me just because I’m travelling without any. Received A LOT of cash from those Chinese community and now I don’t know whether to stick to my principles or not. It’s getting more difficult.
Backtracking again to Gua Musang, climbing it and reaching the top gives a great satisfaction accompanied by amazing scenery from above. Not forgetting, the thought of keeping my promise.
